| Chemical element of cimbolo I, belonging to group 17 of the periodic table, of atomic number 53 and atomic mass 126,9. It appears as a crystalline solid, bluish black, which gives off vapors. It is very reactive, it is used in the manufacture of antiseptics and halogen lamps, in photographic emulsions, in nutrition and in organic synthesis. |
